This versatile Latin Percussion cajon is designed to be two instruments in one, with one soundboard of Birch/Poplar using DW snare wires for a Spanish cajon sound while the other is Sapele wood and is open, producing a traditional Peruvian sound. The Birch/One of the biggest innovations in the long history of Cajons is making one with staves in the shape of a conga drum. The rounded “belly” gives a warm bass sound and with a smaller dimension top, the highs are easy to produce allowing you to play faster. Body mango stave, soundboard poplar height 18 inches weight 12 inches depth 12inches.
