MEINL Stand Alone Wood Surdos have all the great features of their aluminium surdos, but with six ply hardwood shells which give them a warmer mellower sound. They deliver the full bass notes that are the heartbeat of Samba music and are perfect for stationary playing, on stage, or in a drum circle. They have 8 tuning lugs, chrome plated hardware, counter sunk bolt heads, and height adjustable legs. The MEINL logo is printed on the underside of the drum head. This patented technique prevents the logo ink rubbing off onto sticks and causing smear marks on the head.
