This is a limited vinyl LP pressing of The Rajah (Blue Note Tone Poet Series) by Lee Morgan. The American jazz trumpeter and composer originally released his album in 1985. The album was recorded in 1966 but mysteriously shelved until 1984. Alongside the trumpeter, the quintet features a superb lineup such as Hank Mobley (tenor sax)/Cedar Walton (piano)/Paul Chambers (bass)/Billy Higgins (drums) - all playing at the top of their game. Highlights include the Duke Pearson gem "Is That So" and the enticing title track penned by Morgan.
