This is a 2020 reissue vinyl LP pressing of The Rumproller by Lee Morgan. The American jazz trumpeter and composer originally released his album in mid-January 1986, through Blue Note Records. Produced by Alfre Lion, the album was recorded on Van Gelder Studio, Englewood Cliffs, NJ from 9th to 21st April 1965. The quintet featured Joe Henderson, Ronnie Mathews, Victor Sproles & Billy Higgins. The album covers diverse territory from the post-bop of "Desert Moonlight" to the mournful closing ballad "The Lady" dedicated to Billie Holiday.
