This is a 2017 reissue double vinyl LP pressing of Virtual Xi by Iron Maiden. The English heavy metal group originally released their eleventh studio album on March 23, 1998, through the EMI record label. Produced by Steve Harris and Nigel Green, the album would be the second and final studio album to feature Blaze Bayley, as he resigned from Iron Maiden following a February 1999 announcement that Bruce Dickinson and Adrian Smith, who had left in 1993 and 1990 respectively, would be returning to the line-up. Some keyboard parts were performed by band founder/bassist Steve Harris whereas on previous albums all the keyboard parts had been handled by Harris' bass technician, Michael Kenney. The band closed this unique chapter of their history in style with highlights coming in the form of "Futureal," "The Angel and the Gambler" and "The Clansman." The audio on these releases has been cut from the high resolution remasters of 2015 when the Maiden catalogue was digitally upgraded.
