About This Product

This is a 2018 EU reissue vinyl LP pressing of Shaft: Music From The Soundtrack by Isaac Hayes. The American soul-funk singer-songwriter originally released his soundtrack album in July 1971, via Enterprise Records. The self-produced album was recorded at Stax Recording Studios in Memphis, Tennessee. The album mostly consists of instrumentals composed by Hayes as the score for the film. In 2014, the album was added to the National Recording Registry by the Library of Congress for being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant."
