This triple vinyl LP pressing of Cornucopia: Live captures Björk’s groundbreaking concert film and immersive stage production, a visionary project born from years of collaboration and technological exploration. Conceived as a matriarchally friendly, uncorrupted space for female artistic expression, Cornucopia brings together musical director and multi-instrumentalist Bergur Þórisson, percussionist Manu Delago, flute septet Viibra, harpist Katie Buckley, and the Hamrahlíð Choir, expanding Björk’s long-standing work with 360-degree sound, virtual reality, and animation developed through Biophilia and Vulnicura. Drawing inspiration from Utopia and Fossora, the performance transforms a traditional 19th-century theatre into a fully immersive environment using 27 moving projection curtains, LED screens, and bespoke instruments—including a magnetic harp, aluphone, circular flute, and custom reverb chamber—creating what Björk describes as a modern lanterna magica for live music, intertwined with a symbolic avatar narrative of transformation and healing.
