It wasn't enough for DiMarzio to present a precise adaptation of their original Tone Zone, taking it a step further and completely re-working the humbucker for the modern era, designed with lower magnet-pull and coils which are specially calibrated to help reproduce the full impact of the low "B" string while avoiding any loss of tonal quality or fidelity.
The result couldn't be any better, gifting musicians the Tone Zone 7 to offer considerably better resonance, credited to the use of a ceramic magnet rather than the Alnico 5 used in the original.
This model is best suited to the bridge position.
