Euro-Country - CMAT (Vinyl) (AE)

This is a double vinyl LP pressing of Euro-Country by CMAT. This album is the highly anticipated third release from the BRITs, Mercury, and Ivors-nominated artist. CMAT has endeared fans with her unique ability to combine contradictory themes—wide-eyed drama with self-deprecation. While country music remains a lyrical foundation for CMAT, Euro-Country presents the genre in an augmented and reimagined way, mixing it with classic indie and affirmative soul-pop to resist industry pigeonholing. The album demonstrates a massive creative step-up, featuring an urgent, determined tone. Lyrically, it tackles weighty themes, including re-evaluating one's geographical and metaphorical origins, the impact of economics on a small country, the challenges of increased fame, and the experience of being a woman in the music industry.
