This is a vinyl LP pressing of Hot Sun Cool Shroud, a follow-up to Wilco’s acclaimed 2023 album Cousin. Revisiting unfinished material from the Cousin sessions, the band collaborated once again with engineering mixer Tom Schick to craft six tracks that expand on its sound. According to Jeff Tweedy, the album evokes “a summertime-after-dark kind of feeling. It starts off pretty hot, like heat during the day, features instrumentals that are a little agitated and uncomfortable, and ends with a cooling breeze.”
