As part of the upscale Prestige line, the RG5440C features an African mahogany body with white binding bolted to a maple and wenge neck with a Macassar ebony fingerboard with 24 stainless steel frets, white binding, offset mother of pearl dot position markers and luminescent side dots. Components include EMG pickups with a pair of EMG SA single coils at the middle and neck positions and a EMG 81 Humbucker pickup at the bridge position, a Lo-Pro Edge double locking tremolo bridge, Gotoh tuning machines and chrome hardware.
