This is a double vinyl LP pressing of the original soundtrack for Ken Burns's 2024 two-part documentary, Leonardo da Vinci.This is the first time a Ken Burns film has featured an entirely original score, written and recorded by composer Shaw. The album includes performances by his long-time collaborators, including Attacca Quartet, Sō Percussion, and Roomful of Teeth, as well as John Patitucci. The film, which explores the life and work of the 15th-century polymath Leonardo da Vinci, is the first non-American subject for Burns, Sarah Burns, and David McMahon, who directed it.
