About This Product

This is a 2018 reissue vinyl LP pressing of Madvillainy by Madvillain. The American hip-hop duo originally released their studio album on March 23, 2004, via Stone Throw Records. Self-produced by the duo, MF Doom and Madlib, the album was recorded between 2002 and 2004. Madlib created most of the instrumentals during a trip to Brazil in his hotel room using minimal amounts of equipment: a Boss SP-303 sampler, a turntable, and a tape deck. Rolling Stone featured it on their list of 40 album wonders, and in 2020, ranked the album at number 365 in their revised list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
