The Sadowsky MetroLine 24-Fret Vintage J/J Bass pays tribute to Roger Sadowsky’s ability to greatly improve an already successful bass design via a number of detailed changes resulting in that special Sadowsky bass tone: Never harsh or shrill sounding, with strong, powerful but never muddy bass. Present, but not too aggressive mids, and a sweet and airy treble. This 5-string bass features a sleek, undersized chambered J-Style body made of American Swamp Ash that isfinished in a Natural Transparent Satin finish. It is fitted with Sadowsky J-Style pickups and active electronics with true bypass, Vintage Tone Control and treble / bass boost. The American Maple neck has a 1.875" / 47.5 mm wide nut and an American Maple fretboard with 24 nickel silver frets. Hardware includes ultra-light Sadowsky tuners and the special Sadowsky Quick String Release bridge. String spacing at the bridge is 0.71" / 18 mm and the distance between all of the strings is 2.83" / 72 mm. Made exclusively in Germany, a Sadowsky MetroLine 24-Fret Vintage J/J Bass will never weigh more than 8.9 lbs / 4.0 kg.
