This is a 2022 reissue vinyl LP pressing of Sam Gendel & Shin Sasakubo self-titled. Sam Gendel, an emerging LA saxophonist, and Shin Sasakubo, an enigmatic Chichibu-based guitarist, renowned for his work as a photographer and contemporary artist. Following their notable collaboration in Shin Sasakubo's acclaimed "CHICHIBU," this album showcases their chemistry. Sam Gendel dominates the A-side, while Shin Sasakubo takes a solo journey on the B-side, featuring each other on the final track of their respective sides. Recorded in LA and Chichibu during the pandemic, the result is an intimate, quiet work. Released through Cafe Carne, a Chichibu spot frequented by Shin Sasakubo, featuring captivating artwork by popular illustrator Eri Masuko, who also crafted the Cafe Carne logo.
