Seven Songs - Fugazi (Vinyl)

This is a vinyl LP pressing of Seven Songs by Fugazi. Also officially known as 7 Songs, it is the American post-hardcore band's first, self-titled EP, originally recorded in June 1988 and released in November of the same year. Unlike later Fugazi releases, Guy Picciotto did not contribute guitar on this record; all guitar parts were performed by Ian MacKaye. The EP was later reissued in 1989 as part of the 13 Songs compilation alongside the Margin Walker EP. The album cover photo was taken on June 30, 1988, at Maxwell's in Hoboken, New Jersey. The release features “Waiting Room,” one of the band's most well-known songs, noted for its dramatic drop into silence and relentless ska- and reggae-influenced drive, as well as “Suggestion,” which blends a distinctive post-hardcore sound with funk-inspired elements.
