TAMA began manufacturing drums in 1965 under the name "Star Drums", and Star continues to be used in the names of TAMA's drum models to this day. TAMA was one of the first manufacturers to offer super heavy-duty hardware, and drum mounting systems that did not intrude into the shell. The CBA56 combines the universal clamp with the LCB L-rod to mount most popular percussion instruments and accessories, it is not just limited to cowbells. It can be attached to pipes ranging from 15.1 mm to 28.6 mm in diameter. TAMA's hardware designers came up with the innovative FastClamp making it a simple 3 step process to attach a drum clamp. Open the FastClamp just like a clothespeg. close it on the stand, and the FastClamp holds the clamp in place so you can tighten the T-bolt.
