This is a 2012 reissue vinyl LP pressing of The Queen Is Dead by The Smiths. The English rock band originally released their third studio album on June 23, 1986, via Sire Records. Produced by Morrissey and Johnny Marr, the album was recorded at Jacob Studio, Surrey, RAK Studio, London and Drone Studio in Manchester. The Queen Is Dead spent 22 weeks on the UK Albums Chart, reaching number two. It reached number 70 on the US Billboard Top Pop Albums chart and was certified Gold by the RIAA in late 1990. In 2020, Rolling Stone ranked The Queen Is Dead 113th on its updated list of the "500 Greatest Albums of All Time".
