This is a vinyl LP pressing of We by Arcade Fire, the band's sixth studio album. Recorded in their New Orleans studio, the album reflects a journey between two themes: the hardships we face and the love that connects us. Inspired by Yevgeny Zamyatin's 1921 dystopian novel We, the album explores a divide between societal struggles and personal joy, with photos in the studio capturing these contrasts. Initially recorded in early 2020, production was halted by the pandemic, leading Win Butler and Régine Chassagne to spend additional time writing. Produced by Nigel Godrich, WE is a focused 40-minute album split into two parts: “I,” addressing personal struggles, and “WE,” celebrating human connection.
